CPR4LIFE Brings CPR Training, Health Resources, and Community Impact to Knoxville
On Saturday, June 6, CPR Choice was proud to sponsor and participate in the CPR4LIFE community health event at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. The event brought together healthcare organizations, community leaders, local nonprofits, and residents with one shared goal: empowering our community with the knowledge and confidence to save lives.
As part of CPR & AED Awareness Week, hundreds of people attended the event to learn about heart health, access free community resources, and participate in hands-only CPR demonstrations.
A Day Dedicated to Saving Lives
One of the highlights of the event was a special proclamation from the Mayor’s Office officially recognizing June 6 as CPR Day, further emphasizing the importance of CPR education and emergency preparedness throughout our community.
Attendees enjoyed a fun and engaging atmosphere that included live music, health education, wellness resources, and opportunities to connect with organizations dedicated to improving the health of East Tennesseans.
Information was available on a variety of topics including:
Heart health and cardiac arrest awareness
Blood pressure monitoring
Healthy eating and nutrition
Physical fitness and wellness
Community healthcare resources
Throughout the day, hundreds of visitors stopped by vendor booths to gather information and participate in hands-only CPR training demonstrations.
More Than 60 New Lifesavers Certified

While many attendees learned the basics of hands-only CPR, more than 60 participants took the next step by completing CPR certification training.
Participants received instruction in:
Adult CPR
Child CPR
Recognizing and responding to cardiac emergencies
Every person trained represents another potential lifesaver in our community. Immediate CPR and early AED use can dramatically improve survival rates during sudden cardiac arrest, making CPR training one of the most valuable skills a person can learn.

Community Partners Making a Difference
CPR4LIFE would not have been possible without the support of numerous community organizations and healthcare partners committed to improving public health and safety.
Participating sponsors and organizations included:
Emerald Youth Foundation
City of Knoxville
African American Equity Task Force
Tennova Healthcare
CAC (Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee)
Oak Street Health
River Valley
Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital
UT Medical Center
East Tennessee Clinic
Their presence helped connect attendees with valuable resources and services that support healthier lives throughout East Tennessee.
Senator Briggs Visits CPR Choice
CPR Choice was honored to welcome Senator Briggs to our booth during the event. We had the opportunity to discuss the importance of CPR education, community preparedness, AED accessibility, and the role training plays in improving survival outcomes during cardiac emergencies.
Throughout the event, our team shared information about CPR certification classes, workplace safety training, AED programs, and community education initiatives designed to help create a stronger and more prepared Knoxville.
Building a Community of Lifesavers
At CPR Choice, our vision is to be a nationwide leader in CPR and lifesaving education while making a lasting impact in the communities we serve.
Events like CPR4LIFE help advance that mission by introducing more people to CPR training and empowering them with the confidence to act during an emergency.
Whether someone learned hands-only CPR, became fully certified, received a free blood pressure screening, or connected with a healthcare resource, every interaction helped strengthen the health and safety of our community.
We are grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and supported CPR4LIFE. Together, we are building a community where more people are prepared to respond when every second counts.
