At CPR Choice, we train people every day with one goal in mind: saving lives when it matters most. Recently, that mission became reality at Pickleville Tennessee, where quick thinking, CPR training, and an AED helped save a man experiencing cardiac arrest.
During a busy day on the pickleball courts, a patron suddenly collapsed. Without hesitation, the Pickleville team stepped into action, recognizing the emergency, beginning CPR, and deploying their Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Adding to this incredible response, an off-duty nurse who was playing pickleball also jumped in to assist — providing calm, professional support during a critical moment.
Because of their fast response, teamwork, and lifesaving training, a life was saved.
This real-world rescue is a powerful reminder that CPR training and AED access are not optional — they are essential for businesses, workplaces, and community spaces. Emergencies don’t wait, and preparedness can make the difference between life and loss.
To honor this extraordinary act, CPR Choice proudly presented the Lifesaving Hero Award to the Pickleville team — recognizing their courage, readiness, and commitment to protecting their guests and community.
Their actions prove what we believe at CPR Choice:
Training saves lives — and preparedness turns everyday people into heroes.
