The HeartSine® Samaritan PAD 450P AED is a compact, easy-to-use automated external defibrillator designed to help bystanders and first responders confidently respond to sudden cardiac arrest emergencies. What sets the 450P apart is its integrated CPR Rate Advisor™, which provides real-time visual and verbal feedback to help rescuers maintain the proper chest compression rate during CPR. By combining defibrillation and CPR coaching in a single device, the 450P supports two critical links in the chain of survival.
Designed for simplicity, the Samaritan PAD 450P uses clear voice prompts and visual indicators to guide rescuers through every stage of a rescue. The device continuously analyzes the patient’s heart rhythm and advises when a shock is needed, helping even untrained responders act quickly and effectively during high-stress situations.
One of the most portable AEDs available, the 450P weighs only 2.4 pounds and features an ultra-compact footprint that makes it ideal for schools, churches, offices, fitness centers, public venues, and mobile response teams. Despite its lightweight design, it is built to withstand demanding environments with an IP56 rating, providing one of the highest levels of protection against dust and water intrusion available in an AED.
Maintenance is simplified through HeartSine’s innovative Pad-Pak™ system, which combines the battery and electrode pads into a single cartridge with one expiration date to track. This reduces maintenance requirements and lowers the overall cost of ownership compared to AEDs that require separate battery and electrode replacements. The included Pad-Pak offers a shelf life of up to four years and can provide multiple shocks when needed.
The Samaritan PAD 450P utilizes proprietary SCOPE™ biphasic technology, which automatically adjusts shock delivery based on patient impedance to help optimize therapy effectiveness. For organizations that serve children, the AED can also be equipped with a Pediatric-Pak™ to deliver age-appropriate therapy for pediatric patients.
